PROFILE
Deborah Schwartz brings over 16 years of experience working in securities law to Klayman & Toskes, P.A.; first as a securities paralegal, and, upon bar admission, almost a decade as an attorney practicing securities law. Deborah also has experience in matters of estate and special needs planning, special education advocacy, family matters, and business contracts. She is also Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator in family law.
Deborah earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in Psychology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepherd Broad Law Center as a Goodwin Scholar. While attending law school as a single parent of a very young child, Deborah earned the highest award available for the hundreds of hours she dedicated to pro bono work benefiting seniors while at Coast to Coast Legal Aid in addition to her internship with the now retired Hon. Renee Goldenberg. She also earned a CALI book award representing her achievement of highest score in interviewing and counseling. She has recently been honored with inclusion in the Florida Super Lawyers List as a Rising Star for 2020. While up to 5 percent of lawyers in any state can be named a Super Lawyer, no more than 2.5 percent are named as Rising Stars.
Deborah prides herself in providing her clients with a warm, personal touch while practicing law and for her ability to put clients at ease as they go through the, sometimes daunting, legal process while remaining an aggressive advocate for her clients.
